Part A:Introduction to the Jurong Lake Park

Jurong Lake (Chinese: 裕廊湖 ; Malay: Tasik Jurong ; Tamil: ஜூரோங் ஏரி) is a 70ha freshwater lake and reservoir located in the western region of Singapore.Part of the water supply for the country comes from this lake, which is served as a reservoir. The lake is surrounded by parkland, which is used for recreation events for nearby residents in Jurong East and Jurong West New Towns.January 2006,a landscaped sanctuary called Jurong Lake Park was built around the perimeter of the lake. Also, a 2.8 kilometre water promenade along Jurong Lake Park allowed residents to participate in watersports. When we went to the Jurong Lake Park,we were mesmerise to see the park in such a clean state, but when we came to the lake,it told a different story. It was cramped with rubbish. While we continued on our jouney we saw a lot of unripe pongpong fruit on the ground, chopped down trees and a lot of foreign workers cutting the grass.Soon the group 'dispersed'.Half of the group saw tiny grasshoppers which were very difficult to take picture of,plus a ants nest, red ants. The other half say that they saw an eagle but it was pretty unclear and small.Honestly, the park was quite clean due to the fact that the people dumped their rubbish in the lake instead of in the rubbish bin. Also, people shouldn't chop down trees unneccesarily, especially if it does no harm.
